Joseph Pach is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Corcovado Investment Advisors, a California-registered RIA and CFTC-registered Commodity Trading Advisor. He brings over three decades of institutional investment experience spanning global portfolio management, trading, and risk structuring. He holds a B.A. in History from the University of California, Berkeley.

He began his career on the options floor of the Pacific Stock Exchange—becoming a market maker during the dot-com boom, trading in the most volatile pits of the era.

After six years on the floor, he transitioned to managing a volatility arbitrage strategy at a multi-strategy hedge fund.

He went on to spend two decades at Mellon Capital Management (a BNY Mellon subsidiary), where he served as Head of Currency Trading, Senior Portfolio Manager for Global Tactical Asset Allocation, and multi-asset derivatives trader. He managed institutional hedging programs, led FX strategies tied to over $100 billion in ETF assets, and executed global macro trades across equities, fixed income, credit, and currencies.

Today, he works with high-net-worth individuals and families navigating complex financial transitions—divorce, inheritance, liquidity events, and concentrated stock exposure. His focus is on tax-efficient structuring, futures-based risk overlays, and strategic asset allocation tailored to client-specific objectives.

His investment philosophy is grounded in real experience. He has managed not just institutional capital, but his own money through major market dislocations. He understands client concerns because he’s faced the same uncertainty, endured the same volatility, and thrived.
